Some students who wrote the Joint Admission
Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination in April
have protested over the outcome of the
results, insisting that their scripts should be
remarked.

Television breakfast show Sunrise Daily, Obinna
Ekulu explained that he failed JAMB after passing
WAEC and NECO with (As) he said that he passed
JAMB last year with a score of 267 and this year he
got 167. He said all they ask for is a review of their
script.
They also disagreed with the option JAMB officials
gave saying they should pay N10,000 and come to
Abuja for a review of their script.
Also speaking on the protest is a lawyer, Esuola
Olagoke, who referred to the option given by the
JAMB officials to the students as "Extortion", he
said the students deserve to get their papers
remarked without having to pay anything.
He said the option of asking them to come to
Abuja involves a lot including transportation,
accommodation for some days which he says is
not necessary.
Olagoke said the students wrote their exams in
Lagos so the scripts should be remarked in Lagos,
he insisted that whatever the problem is "is from
JAMB and they should not be paying for their
mistake".
