Nigeria improves in Latest FIFA Ranking
Nigeria’s Super Eagles climbed just one place up in the latest FIFA world ranking released on Thursday by the Federation of International Football (FIFA), Completesportsnigeria.com resports.
The Eagles who were previously ranked 53rd in the world are now 52nd but still in a distant 8th position in the African ranking.
Nigeria accumulated a total of 600 points in the newest ranking but are behind Cote d’ Ivoire, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde Islands, Senegal, Tunisia and Egypt in the African Top 10.
Sunday Oliseh’s team are just above Guinea and DR Congo who defeated them 2-0 in an international friendly on October 8 in Belgium.
